Life Stage Pastor
Life Story
After graduating from Bonham High School in 1997, I attended Dallas Baptist University where I felt the call into ministry. I met my wife, Ashley, at DBU and graduated in the winter of 2000 with a Bachelors of Religious Education. The day after we returned from our honeymoon in 2002, we moved to Nashville, TN where I had accepted a Student Minister position at Grace Baptist Church. In 2005, we were blessed with our first child, Ava and in 2007 with her brother Jackson. In December of 2007, we left Nashville to return to Texas. Wylie Baptist Church in Abilene, I served as Student Minister. In the summer of 2009, we moved to Anna where I currently serve as Executive Pastor: Discipleship/Youth. I recently earned my Masters degree in Christian Education.
Hope for First Anna
First Anna has a ton of potential and I am excited about being a part of it. In our time here, we have already seen the impact this church can have on people and it is exciting. My hope for First Anna is that each person that visits or joins becomes a part of a small group. It is our belief that true spiritual growth occurs through small groups and that is why we place such importance on them.
From the student perspective, we want our student ministry to be an exciting place where teenagers can connect with one another and grow spiritually. To accomplish this, ministering to parents must be a priority. Parents make the difference and we desire to aid them as much as possible.
