Opportunities to Serve
Teaching
Classroom teachers lead the classroom. They keep the children on schedule, implement the classroom curriculum and ensure that the children are safe and well cared for by following the policies of First Baptist Anna. Workers in this position build relationships with the children and their parents. It is the classroom teacher that has the greatest amount of time and influence with the children while they are with us. This is an amazing opportunity to share the love of Jesus with our little ones.
Greeting
Greeters are the first face seen by our guests and members. This position welcomes our parents and assists them in checking in their children. They also help first-time guests with check-in, direct them to their children's rooms and answer questions.
Preparing
There are a number of "behind-the-scenes" tasks that are vital to the success of our children’s programs. A few examples include laundry, room re-stocking, craft preparation and storage organization. These volunteers have weekday responsibilities and are the silent servants of our ministry.
Securing
At First Baptist Anna, safety is extremely important. A security volunteer can help make First Baptist Anna even safer for our members and visitors. Please contact Susie Bibb for more information about this position.
Requirements
All of our ministry volunteers are required to fill out an application form and a Release of Information form. Criminal background checks are preformed on everyone that works or volunteers in the children’s area of First Baptist Anna. Each volunteer is expected to model appropriate behavior for all our children. Please contact
