In Awe of God
I have to admit something and it may or may not come as a shock to you- I am in awe of what God is doing through the lives of our church and its people. I shouldn’t be and I hate to say that I don’t give God enough credit for this but I just sit in awe. Since arriving at First Anna, I knew God was prepping to use our church to make an impact that none of us could imagine and we haven’t yet, but it is definitely in the works. Change at First Anna
My name is Josh Parker and I am currently an intern at First Anna. I have been a member of this church through my teenage years and am now a freshman in college, pursing a degree in ministry and a calling to the ministry. Everything we do in our life and in our church needs to have a purpose to it. We don’t do it just to do it; or at least we shouldn’t. Just like change- there needs to be a purpose for something to change; we don’t... More

Trust
Have you ever felt unqualified to do something you knew you were supposed to do? Have your feet turned to concrete blocks at just the thought of moving outside of your comfort zone? But then, when you feel that you are set and content with the life you are living, God shows that He has something else in store for you? All of us feel that way from time to time, especially when we are about to step out in faith and do something that 1) we never thought we would do or 2) dive head first into... More
